Imagine leaving a concert that is a couple of hours away from home and finding out your car was stolen ๐ซ
Imagine leaving work and seeing a huge branch of a tree on the hood of your car๐
Imagine being with your date and seeing a deer hitting your car ๐คฏ
The events above are real claims I've encountered and are covered on your auto policy under โจ ๐๐ผ๐บ๐ฝ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ต๐ฒ๐ป๐๐ถ๐๐ฒโจwhich is also known as "other than collision."
โ๏ธ This coverage is ๐ผ๐ฝ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป๐ฎ๐น if you are NOT financing or leasing the vehicle
Helps to replace or repair your vehicle when it is involved in a natural disaster, fire, broken or cracked windshield, vandalism, theft, a falling object or damage done to your car by animals.

You might drive really carefully and always check your surroundings, but what happens if:
๐ A rock just flies out and hits your windshield
๐ฑ Your neighborโs children are always playing with a ball and accidentally hits your rear windshield โพ๏ธ ๐ ๐
Those and many more situations happen all the time when you are not driving your car.
โ Comprehensive ๐ฌ๐๐ฉ๐ ๐๐ช๐ก๐ก ๐๐ก๐๐จ๐จ
Covers everything mentioned in my last post
$0.00 deductible for broken or damaged glass.
โ Comprehensive
Covers everything mentioned in my last post
A deductible is applied for broken or damaged glass

If you call your insurance company and ask:
Does comprehensive cover damaged or broken glass?
They will answer YES because it does, but if you want to know if there is a deductible before covering the glass the questions should be:
โ Is glass covered on my policy with or without a deductible?
Personally, I don't recommend any of my clients to have only comprehensive because they might end up like my follower, paying for a windshield by themselves, instead of having the insurance company take care of it.
